The holidays are here and I am officially in full blown party mode. Within the last couple weekends I have gone to 2 parties and have a bunch more to look forward to this month. Super fun!
The last party I went to my friends asked all of us to bring an appetizer to share. Every time I am invited to a party it is always my intention to make some fancy elaborate appetizer to show of. Butâ¦yeah that never happens. It seems when I finally get around to making it I am short on time and patience. Honestly, after a long work week the last thing I want to do is attempt to make petite shrimp fritters with a lime cream dipping sauce. Ha! Donât ask where I got that recipe cause I seriously just made it up in my head. But I also donât want to just go to the store and buy chips and dip â although I am not above that either. My point is I want easy.
Anyway, I decided to whip up a batch of my momâs âsuper simple but always a hitâ taco roll ups. Not only is this appetizer a cinch to make you can make it a head of time and even freeze it if you want.
The ingredients are very simple and I bet most of you already have them in your pantry or fridge. They include tortillas, cream cheese, taco seasoning, taco sauce, black olives, and shredded cheese. I used Kraft® Shredded Cheddar Cheese this time around and thought it added a nice kick to the roll ups. Not to mention made the recipe that much easier because who has time to shred cheese during the holidays. Not me.
You can save up to $20 on participating Kraft products, only at Target, using these coupons. I donât know about you but I am always trying to save a little extra especially during the holidays.
These roll up are perfect to have on hand during the holidays for the âpop insâ or impromptu parties.
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
6 ounce can black pitted olives, chopped
2 tablespoons spicy taco seasoning
1/3 cup spicy taco sauce
1 cup Kraft ® Shredded Cheddar Cheese
10 (8 inch) tortillas
In a bowl combine cream cheese, greek yogurt, olives, taco seasoning, taco sauce, and Kraft® Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Lay tortilla out flat and spread cream cheese on tortilla leaving about a half inch to inch from the border.
Roll up jelly roll style.
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight. At this point you can also store in the freezer. Just thaw completely before serving.
When ready to serve cut into 1 â 1/2 inch pieces and serve.
From shopping for gifts to planning family dinners, itâs hard to keep up with all your holiday to-doâs. This year, Kraft is helping out with great weeknight meals and entertaining ideas to make the season a little bit easier. Plus, Kraft is offering up to $20 in coupons, redeemable exclusively at Target, to make food shopping easier and to help you have a happy holiday season.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Kraft. The opinions and text are all mine.
