IMG_6992 Can you FEEL the Baby Lovington of the #Campbelltown Moonlight Markets Merriment, Magic and Music?

What a night indeed and honestly, while I was Curious WHAT made “The Campbelltown South Australian” Community HOWL via last month’s markets, this month’s #Campbelltown Moonlight Markets were all about “Merriment, Magic and Music;” and once again #Campbelltown Community spirit! Very Happy

For those of you unfamiliar with Baby Lovington, lamingtons are of Australian origin; a sponge cake traditionally coated in desiccated coconut.

However these Baby Lovingtons are the creation of elbio patisserie and cafe and “are filled with dark chocolate ganashe or raspberry jam and are in the shape of a heart!”

elbio patisserie and cafe is one of the numerous Campbelltown City Council ‘s Flavours of Campbelltown Foodtrail businesses.

img_6508 For Adelaidians who want to be tourists in their own town and or for a great holiday gift idea (and a great day out), Tour Barossa via Getaways Reservation Service is “offering scheduled tours for individuals, couples, families and groups to experience the cultural and culinary diversity of the Campbelltown area.”
Back to the Moonlight Markets with my friend Queen Louie eh? Winklol
IMG_6976 Just a quick personal note to Queen Louie; want to thank you not only for experiencing this month’s #Campbelltown Moonlight Markets About Merriment, Magic and Music, but for all the “good, clean, fun, food mischief” we got into! lol

“They say,” “If you believe, they will come!”
Wasn’t that “suggested” on the TV series The X-Files?” Shocked

In this case, the Campbelltown Council SA Moonlight Markets are held 4 times a year at Thorndon Park and the people of #Campbelltown and all Adelaidians seem to “make and take” the time to come because they still “believe” it is good to support local businesses who are passionate about their products (hand crafted; hand made) and locally sourced, locally produced foods and wine!
What a great “family” night for free entry to catch up with family and friends! Wink

In no particular order (as we don’t play favorites lol), Queen Louie and I started off with Fudge It who “do things differently” and  create “hand made tasty treats” like Gourmet Fudge and Rocky Road.
IMG_6983IMG_6978 Fudge It also does Gluten Free Torrone Italian Style Nougat!
IMG_6982 I’ll Fudge It and let out TWO secrets out today; well, really not secrets, but something I wanted to share with you! Wink
One of their new releases of Torrone flavours for December is Limoncello! Wink

And you can now “make your own chocolates” at Fudge It , but you’ll have to contact them direct; feel free to tell them the secret was slipped out by me! lol (is all in good fun!Wink)

IMG_6979 In addition to Baby Lovingtons, Fang (one of my many nicknames) was hungry and “bee-lined” (moving quickly in a straight course lol) to elbio for a Beef Empanada and Churros!IMG_69951IMG_6994 As you also know by now, I get distracted by ALL things food and as I was “patiently but excitedly” waiting for my churros, I decided to take some elbio food happy snaps!
IMG_6993 IMG_6991 IMG_6990 IMG_6988 Apologies to the ladies who called out my name um, well, gulp, a couple of times before Queen Louie had to “snap me back to reality” lol to take my churros for me!
By now, you know HOW I become about elbio churros!  Laughing

The Kumars (husband and wife) Ash and Vinnie are always “warm and welcoming” to each and every person who comes to visit them and experience their “wonderfully prepared” homemade Indian cuisine.
IMG_6984 I love that all of their products are homemade using “local ingredients”  and do not contain “M.S.G. or preservatives that are cooked in an authentic Indian tradition” and they are a “family business” who is more than happy to cater to “suit any occasion.”

Feel free to read more about the Kumars and other businesses via the Flavours of Campbelltown Food Trail Media Tour 2013.
IMG_6985 IMG_6986 It was enjoyable on the night to be welcomed by “family owned” business producer Sonia and her Merry Taralli Elves!IMG_6998 The Taralli business was established in 1945 and owners John and Anna Viscone manufacture “the finest European snacks”;  their recipes date back a century!

IMG_7001 IMG_7000 IMG_6999 IMG_7004 IMG_7005 What I love is Continental Taralli Biscuits “feature the best-quality local ingredients.”

Next, Queen Louie and I visited Therese from Salta in Bocca and her Merry Elf Helper!
IMG_7020 Always with great smiles to share, Salta in Bocca is run by Therese and her husband Andreas.

Their business was established in 1996 (a romantic story really :) ) and they grew from a small “family owned” business to a “successful gourmet brand” throughout Australia.

IMG_3060 Therese and Andreas have a wide variety of almond breads and biscotti and during the holiday season (which I always look forward to), they make “wonderful” and “beautifully created with love” Christmas Stollen and Stained Glass Cookies (I call them Embarassed), but they are probably better called Stained Glass Almond Bread.
IMG_7132 IMG_7134IMG_7021 While Queen Louie (now Queen Lou lol) and I were decided where to experience next, in the background was great music by djBottleRockets.com (an Adelaide based dj) who plays music from the 60′s to the early 2000′s.
One could not help but dance and sing along with the tunes! Very Happy

P.S. As you know by now, I can’t do either, but it never stops me from trying; at least to dance! lol

The music just made you WANT to “bop to the beat!”
Hopefully, I am not “aging myself” with that expression! Laughing

As Queen Lou and I were on our way to imbibe at Selena Estates, we met into “The Biscuitiers” of Bake n Serve (also a participating Flavours of #Campbelltown business) who specialize in Shortbread Biscuits, Continental Almond Delights and Dippers.
IMG_7033 IMG_7032 IMG_7031 Off to grape grower Selena from “family owned” Selena Estates Queen Lou and I did go! WinkIMG_7034 IMG_7018 IMG_7016 IMG_7015 I must admit, Queen Lou and I were quite fond of their Cab Sav and seemingly it was a “very popular” wine on the night and love it is made with organic grapes! WinkIMG_7017 By now Queen Lou and I were getting a tad peckish (Aussie lingo for hungry) and was so glad we ventured over to Fred from Rezz (a “family owned” Flavours of #Campbelltown Foodtrail business) and his merry little elves who were more than happy sharing their Very Merry Holiday smiles too!
IMG_7040 Here’s Fred and one of his Rezz elves!

IMG_7042 What a GREAT choice Queen Lou made as (honestly), we both agreed this was “the best” Salt and Pepper Squid!

I chose the garlic and aioli sauce; each piece was thoroughly enjoyed with lots of mmmmmmmmmm’s by both Queen Lou and me too!
Sometimes you would swear we are twin born in different years! Laughing

Other popular Flavours of #Campbelltown businesses were: IMG_7006Assiaggio‘s pasta with Assaggio brand pasta sauce was a big favorite with the crowd as well as their Gelati!
IMG_7010IMG_7011IMG_7012IMG_7013IMG_7008Nothing like the smell of an Aussie BBQ with Slape and Sons meats!
IMG_7043WHEW!!!

I know that was A LOT to digest in one read, but I am so hoping you FEEL the
food E-X-C-I-T-E-M-E-N-T so far, true!

It was Fairy, Fairy fun!
Feel free to share this post via Twitter and Facebook! Thank you!

All comments brighten my day! Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy

Look forward to #Campbelltown Moonlight Markets About Merriment, Magic and Music Part 2 where Queen Lou and I uncovered some “ewe beaute” (Aussie for beautiful) hand crafted, South Australian locally produced and sourced products as well as revealing (sharing lol) the Merriment Mischief (in a fun way) we both got up to!
