Itâs beginning to feel like Fall. I like the colors of Fall and these remind me of the beautiful colored foliage in PA. Actually, I have this new gadget and I had to try it. I love it. Itâs a Nuwave Induction Cooktop. I was at a Taste of Home Cooking School and this was the stove top used to prepare everything.
I find I prefer roasted beets to be a little more tender than with the roasting. So I decided to try a little steam with a liquid. I used beef broth, but any liquid that would complement the beets and carrots would work.

My daughter started my foodblog, Recipes and Ramblins with the Tumbleweed Contessa, as a place for us to record our family recipes and share them with everyone. Old fashioned southwest cuisine is my favorite but I like to try new things too.
