Rich and decadent, with a dash of peppermint. Delish!


Makes around 10

Sweetness 2/3
Difficulty 1/3

1 cup organic cacao powder
3/4 cup extra virgin coconut oil, melted
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon peppermint oil

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix with a fork. Pour into a small 4" or 5" container, so it is approximately 1" thick. Put in the freezer until frozen. Remove and cut into small squares. Store in the fridge or freezer and serve cold. Allow to thaw for a few minutes before eating.

TIPS

Always use a quality coconut oil - it has a much lighter taste that isn't overbearing.

Use a small saucepan and a rubber spatula to melt your oil, not the microwave to retain its health benefits.

This recipe can also be halved or doubled. Just change the size of the dish you use to make it in.
