Chocolate Strawberry Cocktail

Since Valentine’s Day is less than a week away, I thought I should get into the spirit {at least a little bit} and make something inspired by it. Hearts, kisses, love… and boozy drinks. Since chocolate covered strawberries are a ‘thing’ that generates visions of romance and I’m someone who likes a good cocktail, I’m sharing a recipe for a Chocolate Strawberry Cocktail. Brilliant, eh? Whip these up for two and cheers with your special someone.

Ingredients
- ½ cup strawberries
- ½ cup water
- 1 tbs agave (or more to taste)
- 1 cup sparkling water
- 3 oz vodka
- 1 tbs chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat chocolate chips in the microwave until soft, about 30 seconds.
- Use a spoon to smear chocolate around the rim of two glasses.
- Chill glasses in refrigerator for 5 minutes.
- Make the strawberry syrup by heating the strawberries, water and agave in a saucepan on low until strawberries crush easily, about 5 minutes.
- Chill strawberry syrup in refrigerator for 5 minutes.
- Mix 1.5 oz vodka and ½ cup sparkling water in each glass.
- Pour in strawberry syrup.
