There is a definite progression in my taste in alcohol.  When I was 21, it was all about economy drinking.  40 oz beers and Boone's Farm wine were staples in my college apartment.  It was quantity, not quality as far as alcohol was concerned and no matter what it all had to be cheap.

As I moved into my mid-twenties, I decided I my drink of choice would just be beer.  I wasn't making that much money, so I stuck with your simple beers, Miller Light and Bud Light were my drinks of choice.  This was followed by a brief attempt at becoming a wine enthusiast, but that didn't take.

By the time I got to my thirties, I had become a beer snob.  I drank craft beer only.  And if the craft beer came with unusual flavors well then that was even better.  The price wasn't the object it used to be; plunking down money for high priced beer made me happy, it was like I finally arrived.

Now that I'm at the beginning of my forties, my alcohol consumption is going through a renaissance once again.  While craft beer will always have a BIG place in my heart, I'm more open to trying cocktails and mixers.  Not only do I make sangria and mojitos, but also I enjoy them!  Moscow mules are now added to the list of cocktails I love!

Traditionally, Moscow Mules are made with fresh limes, vodka and ginger beer.  These drinks are served in fun copper mugs that keep them nice and cold.  This combination does not need to be improved upon.  This cranberry orange Moscow mule is just a festive and seasonal version of the original. This recipe is made with vodka, cranberry juice and citrusy triple sec.  Garnish each drink with fresh orange slices and cranberries, then drink up and celebrate the season!

This is not your typical Moscow Mule drink recipe! Cranberry juice and a hint of citrus make this cocktial a seasonal favorite! lemonsforlulu.com
