It sounds too good to be true. There must be a flaw â and there is. If you consume too much, youâll run into a variety off issues: Insomnia. This is due to the combination of espresso and chocolate. Regret. That you cannot share scraps of this one with your canine friends. And lastly, shopping. You might just have to invest in new pants â ones with elastic.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons ground espresso
1 tablespoon milk
2 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
1/2 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon amaretto liqueur
1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 ounces goat cheese, at room temperature
1 box dark chocolate Ghiradelli brownie mix (or, better yet, homemade batter)
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Directions
1 â To begin, prepare one box of dark chocolate Ghiradelli brownies, or alternately, brownies from scratch I recommend this recipe from Food Network.
2 â Mix in ground espresso.
3 â Spread into greased pan and bake according to box instructions.
While the brownies are baking, begin the frosting portion.
1 â Using an electric mixer, combine butter and goat cheese until smooth.
2 â Add milk, honey and amaretto.
3 â Beat in powdered sugar, in 1/4 cup increments.
Spread frosting over warm brownies and serve.
