Surprise your kids with a healthy plate of nachos! Easy Caramel Apple Nachos are crispy, sweet, crunchy and totally habit-forming. A great sweet treat thatâs healthy and light.
Day 2 of school starts today and Iâll be off doing a little segment with my friends at the Fox 29 Good Day Philadelphia studio. Dadâs in charge BUT when dadâs in chargeâ¦isnât funny how mom seems to have everything together for them, complete with breakfast options to make their morning go smoothly. Even though my morning consisted of saying things like âyou canât wear a paper towel on your leg to school todayââ¦.âyou have to eat something or you will starveââ¦.âyou canât wear the same clothes youâve been sweating in for three days straight.â Thatâs pretty much how the morning started. Then he boarded the bus, I wept like a baby (not reallyâ¦just kindaâ¦secretly) and then he came home happy to report that school is so AWESOME! Isnât that awesome?!?!
And to keep the awesomeness alive on the awesomest first day of school, I surprised my little guy with a plate full of NACHOS! But not just any nachosâ¦.Easy Caramel Apple Nachos drizzled with a marshmallowy sour cream sauce and sweet, gooey caramel sauce. Then theyâre sprinkled with fun stuff like dried cherries, crunchy granola and mini chocolate chips. They are seriously amazingâ¦.and awesome. I wasnât sure if the mini boss man would love them but he totally devoured about half the plate.
What I love most about these Easy Caramel Apple Nachos is they are a snap to make and healthy to boot. We could eat them every single night but since I like to mix things upâ¦Iâll be sharing these super easy Tuna Salad Tacos with my Fox Friends, as well as, these Oatmeal Raisin Bites and this Pizza Snack Mix just to give even the pickiest of kids some choices after their very long day at school.
Really, thereâs nothing better than a tasty after school snack to help your kids fuel back up before heading to the soccer field, the karate studio or the backyard. Stay tuned because I have more concoctions happening in the kitchen like these Pumpkin Pie Bites or our very favorite Blueberry Muffins.
