It's a vacation and your in the Caribbean or up in the mountains. So is it possible to maintain that healthy green lifestyle that you are able to maintain when you are home?
It is not easy to do and nearly impossible. While eating healthy is being healthy it's important to know that it is not okay to have cheat days because you are only cheating yourself but you also must recognize the fact that it is very difficult to maintain when on the road.
When you head out on vacation you can bring your vitamins but it is very difficult to bring your juicer. The solution is researching the closest health food stores or locating a Whole Foods if you are traveling domestically. One website that should be on everybodys list is called Happy Cow because this is a directory for the healthy alternatives in any city. Think of this as the Yelp for vegans.
Sports stars go heavy into training in the off-season and are on strict diets during the Football, Basketball, or Hockey season. What you may not know is that when they are on the road for games they don't have catering from their personal chefs and thus struggle to maintain all the same dietary balance that they do when at home.
Nobody is perfect. I was in the Bahamas at the Atlantis Sportsbook wagering on the NFL playoffs (thank you for the consulting advice) and the only place to eat that was mildly healthy was a place called Murray's Deli. There was a loaded baked potato that I ate for two meals in a row as the idea of living on Pizza, Overpriced Sushi, or Chinese Food for 5 days in a row just didn't seem very appetizing and appealing to me.
Entrepreneur and healthy food eater. Shot of wheatgrass a day keeps sickness away.
