Onc peaches start to be rippen, it is so fast. Too much peaches are ready to eat. Well, you can save them in delicious condition. I made Peach Comport and Jam. Big cunck of peaches are in thick jammy syrup. I made 2 different Peach comport Jam. One for just peach and sugar. the other one is adding walnuts, spices and brandy. Both are good for bread, crepe and waffles!
Basic Peach comport Jam. â Keep orchard-fresh flavor with nothing but sugar, lemon, and salt.
directionsâCut peaches into chunky size. Transfer to a small saucepan, and add sugar, lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently until bubbles slow. foam subsides, fruit starts to rise to the top. The liquid become syrupy -jam about 15 minutes. Let cool. Refrigerate until completely cooled. ( if you like to add walnus and spices, brandy add the when the liquid becomes syrupy)
