Homemade Irish Cream with Hot Cocoa - The Foodie Affair

I’m finding more uses for the Homemade Irish Cream that I shared with you last week! THIS cup of dark cocoa is not your ordinary hand warmer. This warm cuppa takes the chill right out of your bones! You start with my easy Hot Cocoa Mix and add warm coconut, almond or cows milk, and then a splash of Irish cream! This is one of the most richest beverages I’ve had in quite a while!

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup of cocoa mix (I used dark cocoa for this batch)
  • ¾ cup milk of your choice
  • 1-2 ounces Homemade Irish cream
  • whipped cream (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions
  1. Warm milk of you choice in a saucepan and add cocoa. Whisk until blended.
  2. In a mug add Irish cream. Pour warm cocoa into mug.
  3. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
