This Thanksgiving, I made the most delicious Lobster Macaroni and Cheese Recipe. The last time We tried this, was at a fancy restaurant for my sons 18th birthday. My kids have been asking for it ever since. so for Thanksgiving, I figured Iâd give it a go! It is really rich and creamy, and full of flavors. The only thing I left out, was the Nutmeg. I do not really like Nutmeg in my Macaroni and Cheese, and so I left it out.
My kids absolutely loved this dish! I do not know if I will be making this very often, as it was quite pricey!! And it could have cost even more if I would have used more expensive cheeses like Gruyere and Havarti. That is why I stuck with White Cheddar and Parmesan. Plus my kids like the old favorites as well. Yes I would serve this again! My guests were impressed! They thought I was being ultra fancy! It isnât all that fancy if you think about it! It is still Mac N Cheese!
I loved using my new baking dish as well! I bought it at Sur La Table for $12 How about that!! It was on clearance for 50% off! They have some awesome sales right now on all of their Harvest and Holiday dinnerware/serveware. You must go there and get everything you need to make your table b-e-a-utiful!! I am not working with them on this post, or getting paid for this post, just telling you that I love that place and their fantastic sales!
I also used the breadcrumbs that I made from stale bread, that I had stored in the freezer. So you see, this dish can be quite expensive, but it can also be inexpensive, if you know a few tricks;) So hurry and make this recipe for your family on Christmas eve! It is very cost efficient if you use less expensive cheeses, and your favorite baking dish!
