Take your place at the table

1. Combine the garlic, basil and olive oil in a food processor and pulse.

2. Add the almonds and tomatoes, and process until coarsely chopped.  Taste and season with salt and pepper.

3. Cook the fettuccine in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions, until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid.

4. Toss the pasta with the sauce, adding some of the cooking liquid if necessary.
