These will make you rethink dropping $5.00 (or more) on a box of crackers.
I mean, since when do people get to charge that much for crackers? WTH?? When my son still lived at home he could go through an entire box of Cheez-Its all by himself in one day. Even the family size boxes donât make it a day or two here.
These are SO easy to make and itâs only 5 ingredients â all purpose flour, butter, cheese, a little salt and cayenne. I had no idea how simple it was to make these. Just combine in your mixer, roll it out and cut.Â
I used my pizza wheel, but you can use a pastry wheel if you want to get those little indentions on the edges. Keep in mind that this dough really does need to be rolled out very thin. They puff up in the oven and will be thicker than what youâre used to from boxed crackers.
Since I have an obsession with Cabotâs Farmhouse Reserve cheese, thatâs the rockstar cheese in this. I also added some of their Everything Bagel Cheddar just to make it interesting. Yâall know I canât do anything on an ordinary level.Â
I think I might try to make crostini with this dough â keeping it on the thicker side when I roll it out and top it with tampenade or tomatoes and basil. Cheese makes everything better.
