Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 4 hours 40 minutes Makes: 8-10 Servings

With every fall season comes the need for a delicious, crowd-pleasing side dish. This stuffing makes for a great addition to almost any family dinner or holiday gathering. Use a slow cooker liner with this recipe—it will prevent a baked-on mess, eliminating extra time in the kitchen so you can spend quality time with your friends and family.

Ingredients:

8 cups challah bread (about 1 loaf) cut into about 1" cubes
5 cups apples seeded and chopped
1 cup white onion chopped
3 cups apple juice
1 cup fresh parsley chopped
5 Tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup of honey (plus extra for drizzling, if desired)
1 teaspoon all spice
1 teaspoon kosher salt

Prep:

  1. Line slow cooker insert with a Reynolds® Slow Cooker Liner and place into slow cooker base.
  2. Set the slow cooker to HIGH heat and add onion and butter. Once butter is melted and the onions start to warm up, add in apples, all spice, salt and honey.
  3. Next, add apple juice and let cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Top mixture with challah cubes and parsley

Cook:

  1. Cover the slow cooker and let cook for 30 minutes on LOW.
  2. Lightly stir the ingredients, cover, and continue to cook on low setting.
  3. Let cook for 4 more hours. Remove lid in the last hour of cooking time.
  4. Turn off slow cooker completely, transfer stuffing into a serving dish and drizzle with additional honey (if desired), discard slow cooker liner and serve.

REYNOLDS KITCHENS TIP:

When holidays or special dinners require more oven space than you have, make a side dish in your slow cooker. Line the bowl with a slow cooker liner to save on cleanup for sticky foods like sweet potatoes, beans, or mashed potatoes.
