Ingredients
½ cup all-purpose flour
Cooking spray
2 lbs chicken wings
1 tablespoon of your favorite poultry seasoning (i use a combination of salt pepper, garlic powder and ground ginger)
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup honey
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 inch knob of fresh ginger, chopped
½ jalapeno, chopped (optional, if you want it spicy)
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional, if you want it spicy)
Scallions (thinly sliced)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cover wings with your favorite poultry seasoning, then spray chicken wings with cooking spray.
  3. Lightly flour the chicken wings.
  4. Cook in the oven for 45 minutes.
  5. While wings are cooking, prepare the sauce: combine soy sauce, ketchup, honey, sesame oil, sesame seeds, ginger, jalapeño in a small bowl.
  6. After 45 minutes, pour such over the wings and return to the oven to cook for another 15 minutes.
  7. After 15 minutes, remove chicken wings from the oven and baste with the excess sauce on the pan.
  8. Return to the oven on “broil” for 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken and stick to the wings.
  9. Garnish with scallions.
