Jul 18, 2013 in sparkling summer.
This post appears in the Sparkling Summer challenge.
Itâs July, and NYC is in the middle of a hot and humid heat wave.To cool off, I decided to create an urban, sophisticated spin on the classic lemonade.Lemonade is universally popular in warmer weather for its tangy, slightly sweet and refreshing flavors. So I decided to use fresh pineapple for a tropical kick, and lime and orange juice as the tangy citrus flavors. To top it all off, I added sparkling water to give it that extra special fizzy goodness. After one sip, youâll be making this drink every summer!

Cut fresh pineapple into chunks and puree in blender. Combine with orange and lime juice in martini shaker with ice. Strain into ice-filled glass and stir in sparkling water. Garnish with lime wedge and a slice of pineapple. Cool off and enjoy!
Everything in my life revolves around my obsession with food. Travel plan itineraries are food-centric, weekends are devoted to home-cooked feasts, and trips to NYC farmers’ markets are the highlights of my week.
