It’s July, and NYC is in the middle of a hot and humid heat wave.To cool off, I decided to create an urban, sophisticated spin on the classic lemonade.Lemonade is universally popular in warmer weather for its tangy, slightly sweet and refreshing flavors.So I decided to use fresh pineapple for a tropical kick, and lime and orange juice as the tangy citrus flavors. To top it all off, I added sparkling water to give it that extra special fizzy goodness.After one sip, you’ll be making this drink every summer!

2 Servings

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 large orange
  • ½ lime
  • Sparkling water

Cut fresh pineapple into chunks and puree in blender. Combine with orange and lime juice in martini shaker with ice. Strain into ice-filled glass and stir in sparkling water. Garnish with lime wedge and a slice of pineapple. Cool off and enjoy!
