Take your place at the table

Since beginning this blog in August, I have been so fortunate to connect with others who are working hard to create wonderful recipes and products and many really terrific advocates for celiac disease and food allergies. I’ve found a very supportive and warm community through various social media platforms and continue to learn a lot from them every day. One of the people I connected with is Deena, owner of The Sweet Life Gluten-Free Bakery in Arizona. Deena reached out to me to tell me she loved reading my blog and told me about her bakery. I then looked at her Facebook page and website and couldn’t stop drooling over all of the delicious and beautiful baked goods.

I asked Deena if she would be interested in sharing one of her recipes with those of us who aren’t fortunate enough to live nearby and sample her yummy treats regularly. She agreed to do so right away! See what I mean about how supportive everyone is? I think as a result of all of our own struggles with managing celiac disease and/or food allergies, many feel a strong desire to help others overcome these issues or at least learn from our experiences. I’ve found so many people who are willing to help others and share information. I actually recently partnered with a few great bloggers I follow to share recipes as well as information on f ood allergies and celiac disease on Pinterest. I was so excited when Deena suggested sharing her Donut Recipe. They just look so amazing! Here you go…
